Essentials to Plan for Your Wedding

When getting married, it’s important to make sure that everything is in place. Your wedding day is arguably the happiest and most important day of your life, but in order to get everything prepared properly, you’ll have to put it some effort. There are some things that you can organize at the last minute or even pass on to somebody else to do for you, whereas other things will need to be planned in advance and by yourself. Here are some of the things to make sure that you don’t forget before your wedding day.

The Wedding Vehicle

Most people choose to hire a limousine or a fancy car for their wedding day, but you don’t have to stick to these ideas. If you’re on a tight budget, you can ask a friend to decorate their car and be your chauffeur for the day. Alternatively, you might want to choose something a little different, such as a horse and carriage. Make sure that you check out the costs of these modes of transportation beforehand so that you don’t get any unpleasant surprises on the day!

The Flowers

While you’re busy sorting out your wedding dress and getting your bridesmaids all kitted out for the big day, you might forget that flowers are an essential touch to any wedding. Not only do you need a beautiful bouquet to carry down the aisle, but you might also like to think about a small bunch of flowers for your bridesmaids or flower girl. The church or venue where the wedding is taking place might also benefit from being decorated with some flowers. You can choose from the wide range of Palos Verdes florist shops which are available. Be sure to choose a particular colour theme and stick to this, rather than having different coloured flowers for everything.

The Guests

You’ve sent out all your invitations, but make sure that you get everyone to RSVP to the occasion. If you don’t hear back from certain people after a few weeks, make sure that you get in touch with them and ask them what they plan to do. Some people don’t have the manners to RSVP quickly, whereas others are genuinely busy with other things. Giving them a quick call won’t go amiss, and you’ll be sure to have the numbers well in advance before you book the restaurant or hotel. If guests are dragging their feet and not telling you whether or not they know if they’re coming to the wedding, tell them that you need to know in order to give the final number of guests who will be eating at the reception. You will also need to put down a deposit or pay the final amount, and this usually cannot be done until everything is finalised.
